The Eastern Regional Minister Helen Adjoa Ntoso has been
sternly warned by a group of persons calling themselves “The Concern Youth of Upper Menya” Krobo not to step foot in the community during the annual
celebration of the MANYAM festival on the 25th of October 2013.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, the leader of the group
Francia Ammanor emphatically stated that
the Regional Minister has exhibited
high level of disrespect to the chiefs and people of the lower Manya Krobo
after she tagged them to be a bunch of N.P.P supporters. When granting an
interview on a local base radio station “Rite FM”, the minister who was
responding to an earlier press conference by the group in demand of an assembly
members election and a municipal chief executive for the municipality stated
that the activities of the group is illegal and must not be taken seriously
since they are all bunch of N.P.P Supporters who wants to create confusion in
the municipality.
The group leader further went on to state that they do not
want to have any relation whatsoever with the minister until she has rendered
an unqualified apology to the chiefs and people of the lower Manya Krobo state.
